Notes:
A well-known successful sportsman and automobile racer, Kníže Jiří Kristian Lobkowicz (Prince George Christian von Lobkowicz), who sometimes raced under the pseudonym of "Hyta", died in his Bugatti T54 on the racetrack AVUS (Automobil-Verkehrs-und-Übungs-Straße) in Berlin.

During the first lap of the 1932 Avusrennen, just before the Südkurve, the car swerved, crossed the back straight, cut through three trees and crashed into a railway wall, killing the driver instantly.

The newspaper Journal de Genčve, issue of Monday, 23 May 1932, erroneously reported that Lobkowicz' unnamed riding-mechanic was also killed in the accident. But this is not true, there were no passengers or riding-mechanics allowed at the AVUS race.
