Notes:
Driver Patrick Fontaine and co-driver Olivier Selva were killed instantly when their 1964 Lotus Elan crashed in the trees during the Mont-Blanc Historic Rally in France.

The rally took place on 01 and 02 June 2007 and was a reliability race in which the winning team is the one which gets closer to a target average speed in the stages. The race was marked by difficult weather conditions therefore the organizatiors reduced the target average speeds, nevertheless a few minor accidents happened in the first day. Fontaine and Selva crashed on the first special stage of the second day, between the localities of Le Méru and Col de l'Alpettaz, near Ugine in Savoie. After the accident the event, which had to end in Haute-Savoie, was abandoned.

Driver Patrick Fontaine and Olivier Selva were two surgeons from Reims, they both worked in the hospital of Courlancy. Fontaine was a specialist of general and digestive surgery, Selva was an orthopaedist.
