Notes:
Emmerich Nagy was a prominent Austrian motorcycle racer, active in the 1920s, mostly riding BMW machines.

In 1927 Emmerich Nagy was the outright winner of the 500 cm3 class race, riding a BMW motorcycle, during the inaugural Großen Preis von Österreich, held on a 10.41-kilometer (6.47-mile) triangular public roads course in the small town of Vösendorf, near Wien, Austria. The event was held from 1927 to 1930.

On Sunday, 26 May 1929, Emmerich Nagy suffered severe head and facial injuries when he crashed hard during the Gießhübel-Rennen hillclimb held at Maria Enzersdorf, in the district of Mödling, Niederösterreich, Austria. He never recovered and two weeks later he succumbed to his grevious injuries, on Sunday, 09 June 1929.

In the register of deaths of Wien General Hospital, the cause of death was indicated to be "Gesichtsrotlauf" (facial erythema), a serious bacterial infection affecting the skin. A memorial stone in his honor was erected in the place where Emmerich Nagy had his fatal accident. It is located nearly the village of Maria Enzersdorf.
