Notes:
Twenty-four-year-old British rider Elwyn Williams was killed when his BSA motorcycle collided with another machine during the Welsh Motor Cycle Speed National Championship meeting at Pendine Sands, Wales.

The accident occurred on Monday, 07 June 1954. Williams was due to compete in the event and was riding in the sands before the start of the official practice trials. The other competitor involved in the crash, Bernard Watkins from Abertridwr, Wales, was grievously injured and detained at Carmarthen hospital.

Elwyn Williams was reported to be from Trethomas, Monmouthshire, southeastern Wales; it is unclear whether he was a native or a resident of that town.

That same day, another Britain's rider, Raymond Ashford lost his life while practicing for the Junior Clubman's Trophy at the Isle of Man Mountain Circuit.
